Workshop Overview

This immersive workshop is built around a precision medicine framework — using AI-powered Quantitative EEG (QEEG) analysis to identify neurobiological phenotypes and design targeted Photobiomodulation (PBM) protocols. Whether you're working with ADHD, Autism, depression-resistant patients, or neurodegenerative conditions, you'll gain actionable clinical skills from day one.

Led by Dr. Dave Kim, Shari Johansson, Carlos Chinchilla, and Rebekah Walker, the program covers everything from EEG fundamentals through advanced QEEG interpretation to hands-on PBM protocol design and neurofeedback demonstrations.

Agenda Breakdown

Day 1

EEG Fundamentals & Measurement Labs

Build a solid foundation in EEG principles — from physical units, frequency, and amplitude to normal vs. abnormal patterns, artifacts, and the anterior posterior gradient. Then move into hands-on measurement labs where you'll capture your own EEG data and review results through EEG/HRV Summary Reports with normative comparisons. Learn how EEG informs treatment strategy and functional neuroanatomy.

Day 2

EEG Phenotypes & QEEG Deep-Dive

Explore how alpha waves are generated, the role of neurotransmitters, brain subsystems, and EEG phenotypes. Dive deep into QEEG: FFT and topographic mapping, normative databases, AMICA, sLORETA source localization, and connectivity analysis. Work through real case series and advanced reports including Pediatric, MCI Biomarker, and Health Checkup reports. Learn to reverse-engineer diagnostics from qEEG to raw EEG.

Day 3

PBM Protocols & Neurofeedback

Understand the mechanisms behind Photobiomodulation through case studies and proof-of-concept research. Design QEEG-guided PBM and neurofeedback protocols with hands-on PBM practice. Experience a live neurofeedback demonstration. Includes a special guest lecture (speaker TBA). Workshop closes with certification distribution.
